What is Osteoporosis?

When you have osteoporosis, it means you have low bone mass, and your bone tissue is deteriorating. Calcium keeps your bones strong, but your bones use hormones like estrogen and testosterone to constantly re-build and re-construct. If your body lacks the minerals to keep your bones strong, and the hormones to re-build your bones, your bones become fragile and more likely to break.
