Side effects

If you miss a dose, or don't take enough insulin, the result can be high blood glucose levels -- called hyperglycemia. Because your body doesn't have enough insulin to regulate your blood glucose levels, it suffers from sugar overload. Warning signs are feeling very thirsty, tired, or nauseous, or urinating more often than usual. Test your blood glucose levels immediately, and seek medical advice if your levels are abnormally high. You will be able to take insulin safely, if you remember to take the right dose at the right time.
