What is cloudy insulin?

Insulins can be clear or cloudy, depending on the type you are taking. Cloudy insulins need to be mixed prior to use. If your insulin is a clear insulin, it should never be discoloured or cloudy, or have solid particles or chunks floating in it. Taking damaged insulin can be risky, so if you ever suspect there's something wrong with your insulin, take it back to your pharmacist for an inspection.
