Fitness & nutrition: Lowering your cholesterol

By making some simple changes, you should be able to bring down the bad cholesterol levels, and bring up the good cholesterol levels. Eating a rounded, healthy diet is important, but you should be careful that you're not eating too much fat. Start reading nutritional labels and checking the amount of saturated fat and trans fat in the foods you eat. Trans fats can lower your levels of good HDL cholesterol, and raise your levels of bad LDL cholesterol. Exercise is an important part of maintaining healthy cholesterol levels. Getting 30 minutes of physical activity every day can lower your LDL cholesterol and increase your HDL cholesterol.
